Best of Mankind ~ خَيْرِ الأَنَامِ


يَارَبِّ صَلِّ عَلَى النِّبِيِّ مُحَمَّدٍ خَيْرِ الْأَنَامِ وَ مَنْ بِهِ يُتَشَفَّعُ
Oh Lord, bless our Prophet Muhammad.
Best of mankind and from whom we seek intercession.

يَامَنْ يَرَى مَافِي الضَّمِيْرِ وَ يَسْمَعُ أَنْتَ الْمُعَدُّ لِكُلِّ مَا يُتَوَقَّعُ
Who sees in the conscience and hears.
You are the prepared for what is expected.

يَامَنْ يُرَجَّى لِلشَّدَائِدِ كُلِّها يامَنْ إِلَيْهِ الْمُشْتَكَى وَ الْمَفْزَعُ
The one we beseech for all of the hardships.


يامَنْ خَزائِنُ مُلْكِهِ فيْ قَوْلِ كُنْ أُمْنُنْ فَإنَّ الْخَيْرَعِنْدَكَ أَجْمَعُ
The one whose treasures are contained in “kun”.
Grant the goodness, You own it all.

ما لي سِوَى فَقْرِيْ إِلَيْكَ وَسِيلَةٌ فَبِالْإِفْتِقارِ إلَيْكَ فَقْرِي أَدْفَعُ
Through my poverty I draw closer to You.
By being poor to You I repel my poverty.

ما لي سِوَى قَرْعيْ لِبابِكَ حيلَةٌ فَلَئِن رُدِدْتُ فَأَيَّ بابٍ أَقْرَعُ
I have no options but by knocking on Your door.
if I was turned away, what door can I knock?

وَ مَنِ الَّذي أَدْعُوْ وَ أَهْتِفُ بِإسْمِهِ. إِنْ كانَ فَضْلُكَ عَنْ فَقيرِكَ يُمْنَعُ
And who else can I ask and call upon.
If Your bounty was withheld from Your poor slave.

حاشا لِجُودِكَ أَنْ تُقَنِّطَ عاصياً الْفَضْلُ أَجْزَلُ وَ الْمَواهِبُ أَوْسَعُ
Your generosity gives hope to the sinner.
Your bounty and gifts are endless.

ثُمَّ الصَّلاةُ عَلَى النَّبي مُحَمَّدٍ خَيْرِ الْأنامِ وَ مَنْ بِهِ يُتَشَفَّعُ
Then blessings on the Prophet Muhammad.
